Thirty Day Challenge III – Past The Midway Point

Everyday in January I am going to do a drawing from life. The parameters I have set for myself is fifteen minutes minimum, on the sketch pad, with pencils, inks, or brush. I will post the first seven that I have done here and then at the end of the month I will post all thirty drawings. Everyone is welcome to join me at any time.

I thought it was hard to draw every day when traveling, but when real life is here, its way more difficult. From frozen pipes, catching up on art work, working on wedding invitations, websites, blogs, and other things. Taking fifteen minutes is harder then it seems. So I am doing my best, and I hope to do much better for the next half. From New York to Philly, and everything in between, lets party with the mummers, watch the icebergs float by on the Hudson, and catch my dog snoozing yet again.

Let’s Draw!

The Mummers Parade 2014. This was part of a pirate brigade, literally. About 40 Black Beards dancing and strutting up and down Broad Street.

This is an example of what happens when you drink all day watching the mummers parade and then try and do a life drawing at an after party.

    • Thanks, trying to make it happen. I love doing it, but tend to forget day by day. Put a reminder on my phone even. Keep up the art on your end, I loved looking through all your sketches.

      • thanx! It took me more than a month to really get into the sketch a day. It’s now part of my routine. I stopped about a week over Dec because I had a really tight deadline and couldnt multi task.
